Disclaimer

Last updated: 13 June 2026

CrimeRisk provides crime risk scores for UK postcodes derived from official open data. Please read this disclaimer carefully before relying on any score.

Informational use only

Scores are calculated from historical, aggregated crime data and describe recorded crime near a location over a recent period. They are not a prediction of future crime and are provided for general information only.

Not a basis for decisions

Scores must not be used as the sole basis for any lending, insurance underwriting, tenancy, employment, property valuation or similar decision. You are responsible for any decisions you make and should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.

Accuracy and completeness

  • Crime data is published by police forces with a lag of roughly one to two months and may be revised.
  • Locations are anonymised by the police to representative map points, so crimes are approximate, not exact addresses.
  • No data is available for some areas. Greater Manchester Police does not currently publish to the national dataset, and Scotland is not included. CrimeRisk returns "data unavailable" for these areas rather than a score.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
